Just A Little Thought

ripples, drops in the water, infinity, ever increasing circles

"Watch your thoughts; they become words.

Watch your words; they become actions.

Watch your actions; they become habits.

Watch your habits; they become character.

Watch your character; it becomes a destiny" - Frank Outlaw

In this world, there is an overwhelming feeling of having to accept things as they are; as if deserved and as though it has been completely mapped out for you by someone other than yourself. I don't just mean those people who feel that they have been unfairly hit with the proverbial stick of the hard knocks of life, this post is also for those who appear to have it all with financial security, a loving home life, and a career they jump out of bed for on a Monday morning.

No matter where you are on the spectrum, the point is, it does not, and will not, remain stagnant and the perception of perfectionism is constantly moving on that spectrum. If life seems to be out of control and it seems as though one thing after another is attacking you, well you do not need to sit there and allow these things to hit you in the face. You can decide to stop it, decide to change the way things are. Decide on a better solution - even if you haven't a clue what that is yet. Why? By deciding on a solution, it will create a ripple effect and simply by thinking about it, it will naturally start to change the course.

As a disclaimer, please note I said "start". You will have to do some work with those thoughts but believe me, once that ripple starts you will want to see where your new thought process is going to take you.

So, what about those people that have it all? Remember that is your own perception from your own point of view. Those of you who are labelled as such, you are still human beings first. Your mindset will still reflect your character and destiny and no amount of financial freedom (or others telling you that you should have nothing to worry about) will change that. But you can. You can decide what you would like to be noticed for. You can decide what elements of your life you can be grateful for and you can decide what sits well with you and what does not, not anyone else.

Now, drop that little pebble of a thought into the water and watch the ripples grow bigger and bigger and become part of your destiny.
